The summer school will be held at Cardiff University, using its modern seminar rooms and collaborative spaces. Accommodation will be arranged in university residences, with catering provided for lunches and breaks.

Heathrow / Gatwick Airports
National Express (Tel: 08705 808080) coach company and various rail companies (Tel: 08457 484950) operate direct services to Cardiff Central Station from London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Bristol Airport
Bristol airport is 50 miles (80 km) from Cardiff. Journey time is approximately 2 hours.
By Coach: The Greyhound UK coach service runs every 2 hours from Bristol Airport to Cardiff Bus Station. Single fare: £6. Tickets can be bought online at www.greyhounduk.com
By Train: Take the Bristol International Flyer from the airport to Bristol Temple Meads train station (£7). From Bristol Temple Meads, trains to Cardiff Central run every 30 minutes. One-way ticket: approximately £10.
Alternative: Take the Bristol International Flyer bus (runs every 10 minutes) to Bristol city center or Bristol Bus Station, then catch a National Express coach to Cardiff (runs every 2 hours, £10).
Cardiff International Airport

By Rail
High speed InterCity trains provide frequent services between all major British cities. The Cardiff-London InterCity service from London Paddington runs approximately seventeen times a day, with a journey time of less than two hours.
Frequent regional network trains connect Cardiff with:

By Road
Cardiff is served by the M4 and is easily accessible from all parts of Britain.
From the southwest: Take the M5
From the south of England: Follow major A roads to the M4
From Scotland, north of England, and the Midlands: Travel via the M50 to the M4
Travelling east on the M4: Leave at Junction 32, follow the A470 (signposted City Centre) into the Cathays area of the city.
Travelling west on the M4: Leave at Junction 29, follow the A48(M)/A48 (signposted Cardiff East and South) to the A470. Follow the A470 signposted City Centre.
Car Parking
There are several short- and long-stay public car parks located in the city centre. Cardiff is a very compact city and can easily be explored on foot, with most attractions, shops, restaurants, hotels, and parklands all within a few minutes of each other. Cardiff Bay is 1 km from the city center and an easy walk. Alternatively, there is a cycle path along Lloyd George Avenue or a Bendy Bus which runs every 10 minutes.
