Discomfort of uncertainty or absurdity of certainty: navigating uncertainty in an evolving world

Speaker: Michelle Lazarus, Monash University

Summary

This talk explores uncertainty tolerance and the ways it shapes our thoughts, feelings, and actions when faced with the unknown. It considers why the brain often seeks the comfort of certainty, even when that certainty comes at the expense of curiosity, growth, or joy.
